Paula grew up in the Pacific Northwest, where early experiences shaped her appreciation for connection, service, and thoughtful problem-solving. She came to Tucson to attend the University of Arizona, earning her bachelor's degree and developing a lasting connection to the community. After several years away, she returned to make Tucson her home, drawn by the beauty of the Sonoran Desert, the warmth of its people, and the outdoor lifestyle that first captured her heart.
Before entering the world of real estate, Paula worked in healthcare IT and organizational leadership, supporting executive leadership through complex systems, change, and decision-making. She is the founder of Bridge2Solutions Consulting, a boutique advisory practice that helps organizations simplify complexity and navigate high-stakes decisions with clarity and structure.
That perspective continues to shape her work in real estate, where she brings calm structure to complex situations, helps clients understand their options clearly, and keeps the process grounded and organized from start to finish. Throughout her career, she has been known for bringing people together, simplifying challenges, and keeping work moving forward with steady focus. She also volunteers with organizations focused on community well-being and environmental stewardship.
Today, Paula focuses on residential real estate in the Ventana Canyon area, where she offers a grounded, informed perspective on the neighborhoods, lifestyle, and subtle differences that shape each home and community.
What matters most to her is helping people move through important transitions with clarity and confidence, supported by someone who is present, thoughtful, and attentive to detail.
Meet Poppy — Paula's energetic sidekick and the Official Brand Ambassador for Paula Cottrell, REALTOR®!
At just 10 months old, this adorable Shih Tzu–Bichon Frise mix has already become something of a local celebrity around Ventana Canyon. Whether she's riding shotgun in the golf cart, making friends on our neighborhood walks, joining me for dinner at the club, or attending community events, Poppy has never met a stranger. Her tail is always wagging, and she has a special way of bringing smiles wherever she goes.
You might spot us exploring Ventana Canyon together, chatting with neighbors, or stopping to admire another beautiful home. Poppy reminds me every day that real estate is about more than buying and selling houses—it's about community, connection, and feeling at home.
